Mr. P. Mohan Rao founded the firm in 2006. With an experience of more than 13 years in the
Architectural field. He graduated from the SHIVAJI UNIVERSITY in Kolaphur. He worked with “SOBHA
DEVELOPERS PRIVATE LIMITED” for more than five years. He was given the responsibility to design
and develop various concepts for all residential, commercial and institutional projects. He
handled projects for the corporate giant INFOSYS and designed and developed the infra structure
in Mysore with an area of 150 acres. The whole project is multifaceted with different buildings
with different functions. Initial step in the process of design is to zone the buildings to
appropriate locations. First to fall in the zone is E&R now well known as GLOBAL EDUCATION
CENTER which covers up an area of nearly 4,50,000 Sq ft. Since it has a huge carpet area,
circulation is kept in focus and has been achieved to the core. It was inaugurated by the Prime
Minister MANMOHAN SINGH on February 2005.
The next building is the EMPLOYEE CARE CENTER, which covers up an area of 1lakh 20,000 Sq. Ft,
has been located in a focal point of the entire 240-acre campus. The building adopts it self to
a Spanish style which includes all the major facilities for the trainees in the campus.
Another prominent structure in the campus is the MULTIPLEX, which finds its location adjacent to
ECC. The structure totally is a spherical shell constituting 4 theatres, which covers up an area
of 45,000 Sq. Ft. This is the largest in Asia which is 50m in diameter and from the ground it
measures up to 35m.
The major structure, which covers half of the campus, is the Hostel facilities offered by INFOSYS to the trainees. There are totally 2258 units covering an area of 12, 58,955 Sq ft. All
the rooms are furnished to perfection and sophisticated system is followed to maintain all the
units.
FOOD COURTS 1&2 are also part of the design, which finds its location at the highest point in
the campus and covers up an area of 73,229 Sq ft.
Mr. Mohan Rao has also given his artistic hand to the SOBHA JADE project in Jakkur which
constitutes 64 units of luxury apartment covering an area of 1,17,650 Sq. Ft.
The other major project is SOBHA OPAL in Jayanagar, which consist of 124 units of 3 & 4-bedroom
apartment. This project has been completed on September 2003.
Another major project is SOBHA MAGNOLIA, which is coming up in Bannerghatta road with a massive
structure of 20 stories. This project covers an area of 5lakh Sq ft. With 240 units of 3 and
4-bedroom super luxury apartment. Mr. Mohan Rao also worked with PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT in
Singapore. It is well known as PWD consultant’s private limited and he worked there for three
years. Here he has shown the potential to develop elevation treatments and sectional drawings.
This was demonstrated when he worked for a secondary school at Bukit Panjang for ministry of
education.
Initially his architectural career began in Chennai, when he worked with the leading architect
in the city C.R Narayana Rao architects and engineers. He learnt all the basic skills for his
profession and he served here for more than 5 years. His major projects here include the
International hockey stadium and International Multipurpose Indoor stadium at Chennai which was
later inaugurated by the Former CM J. Jayalalitha, Spencer plaza (phase-2) at Chennai and
Interior design for MNC –D. E. Shaw software at Hyderabad etc.
